MIXED-BED DEIONIZER SYSTEM

*** The deionization process utilizes acid regenerated strong acid cation resin and caustic regenerated strong base anion resin to remove minerals from the feedwater. When minerals dissolve in water they ionize to from positively charged cations and negatively charged anions.. these ions are attracted to the resins due to their electrical charge.When the feedwater flows through the deionizer the positively charged cations are attracted to the cation resin and exchanged for hydrogen ions(H).The negatively charged anions are attracted to the anion resin and exchanged for hydrogen ions(OH). The hydrogen and hydroxide ions then combine to from water (H2O). This process results in deionized product water with virtually all of the dissolved minerals removed.
