흡착력을 가진 활성탄을 이용하여 원수중의 잔류 염소, 맛, 냄새, 색깔, 페놀류 등을 흡착제거하는 방법으로 반도체 재료와 Brown관 등 전자 기기류 및 전착 도료 관계, 고압보일러 용수 전처리용, 식품 용수 및 음료 용수, 순수 제조장치의 전처리용으로 필요한 설비이다.
